David Game College was founded in 1974 and is a leading centre in London for pre-university education. A-Levels and GCSEs are offered as well as the College's own University Foundation Programme (UFP).
The College covers almost any combination of A-Level subjects, with Mathematics, Science and Business subjects being particular strengths. There are five A-Level programmes: 1-year, 1.5-year, 2-year, Intensive and Retake.
The UFP is a nine-month, full-time modular course which gains students entry to British Universities. There are two starting dates within the same academic year - September to January - to prepare for university entry in October of the following academic year.
The College also runs Computing and Information Technology courses and a full English Language programme including IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge examination courses and General English at all levels.
The College occupies spacious, modern premises in London next to Notting Hill Gate Underground Station and close to Hyde Park. The museums and shops in Kensington are within easy walking distance and London's West End in a short journey by tube. It has purpose-built facilities with over 100 computers in five computer rooms, science laboratories, a fully-supervised Library and Resource area, large and bright classrooms and a common-room where students can meet their friends and enjoy hot meals and snacks. There are College football and basketball teams and table-tennis; chess and pool are also played. Students are encouraged to join local Sports Centres. There is a Cinema Club in the College showing the latest films and in the immediate area there are excellent bookshops, cafes and restaurants, two cinemas and a theatre.
There are six College residences in the Kensington area within a short walk of, or train journey from, the College. Each residence has self-catering facilities with a fridge and television in each room, shared kitchen and bathroom and a washing-machine. Rooms are single or shared by two students and students can move in or out at one week's notice. As an alternative to self-catering accommodation, students who wish to do so, can stay with English families offering breakfast and an evening meal. Most families live between 30 and 45 minutes from the College.
